CORAL SPRINGS - Police are searching for a man who shot another man
and a teenager outside a bar early today. Timothy Williams, 19, of Coral Springs,
was shot in the hand and taken to Coral Springs Medical Center. Matthew Hatcher,
15, also of Coral Springs, was shot in the back and taken to Broward General
Medical Center. Both are listed in stable condition, police said. The shooting
happened at 1:35 a.m. in the parking lot of Bamboozles Bar & Grill
at 10365 Royal Palm Blvd., police said. A group of people were arguing in
the bar when they stepped outside. "One or two people took out a gun and
just started shooting," said police spokesman Sgt. Joe McHugh. Police do not
know yet what the argument was over. The accused shooter is described as being
18 to 20 years old, about 5 foot 8 inches tall and has short dreadlocks and
gold teeth. He was seen fleeing the area in what is described as a light green
and gray SUV. The vehicle is possibly a Chevrolet Avalanche or Cadillac Escalade,
police said. Anyone with any information about the case is asked to call Crime
Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or Detective Jay Feinberg of the Coral Springs Police
Department at 954-346-1226.
