I took some time out my life last night to go watch the movie Notorious.
I must say, it wasn't bad at all. I wasn't disappointed as I thought I
would be. Even though the cast wasn't filled with 'A' class celebs besides
Angela Bassett, if you consider her to be one, they all did exactly what
they were paid to do. Jamal 'Gravy' Woolard did an excellent job as the
man himself, Notorious BIG. I was surprised to how well the remainder
of the cast portrayed the people they played. Antonique Smith who played
Faith Evans was excellent, so was Naturi Naughton who played
Lil. Kim [I actually at one point of the movie thought Lil Kim played
herself]. As far as Puffy's role, played by Derek Luke, It was least
to say decent. Blame the writers for making his role so cliche.

I would have to say that the downfall of the movie came with the minor
roles, such as Tupac, Lil Cease, Jan, Suge Knight, etc. They could of
had a cast with much better acting skills. Besides that, I think the
movie was and will be very successful, in regards to box office sales.
Don't get me wrong, This isn't a Batman or Titanic type movie. Still
I would have to give it 3 antennaz up. Definitely recommend you go see it.
