I may not be an expert, actually many may still consider me somewhat of
an amateur. However, I do know my place and unlike many, I've read the
guidelines and followed the rules. Here is a few pointers [Do's & Don't]
for the fresh meat >> Beginner Bloggers. So "Relax & take notes while
I take tokes of the..." [cough cough] lol.
Since I've started blogging I have learned that its okay to be a small
fish in a large sea. Many of us, bloggers, have started blogging as a
way to jot down our private emotions, a diary per say. While others use
it as a method to gain publicity. Neither is wrong. Some are satisfied
with having three visitors a day: the girlfriend, the best friend and the
kid next door. Others, on the other hand, need and demand readers in order
to network or simply make money from google adsense. Either way, there are
two different types of bloggers,but only one guideline to follow:
- Do join a blog community, and check out other bloggers.
- Do try to leave comments on blogs you find interesting.
- Do try to be creative with your blog entries / subject matter.
- Do give your opinion. Keep the conversation going.
- Do cite sources if your using other peoples materials [audio/video]
- Don't make trite comments like “Great article.” say why it was great.
- Don't just cut, copy and paste. I'm so anti embed codes.
- Don't leave hate comments. Don't like what you see. Don't come back.
- Don't chase traffic/followers/readers. Let them come to you.
- Don’t disregard your responsibilities. Linking is not Blogging.
At the end of the day, blog with integrity and principle. Don't try
to be something or someone you aren't. Feel free to express yourself
the way only you know how...to be continued

This is real, I like it. I started blogging when people thought it was wack and now damn near everybody has a blog. I started out just blogging about the urban world and music but everyone does that now so now I blog about more of my life. I agree with you about the comment thing if you have loyal readers/commenter return the love. But hey people steal, people hate as long as people like us keep it 100 were all good.
